A fifty meter asteroid will narrowly miss Mars according to Don Yeomans, Manager of the NASA Near Earth Object Program Office. We talk with Don at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory about the more than 5,000 rocks and comets already found that could one-day target Earth. Emily Lakdawalla explains why our eyes on Mars probably won't be watching that asteroid pass by, while Bill Nye the Science Guy celebrates humankind's return to the planet Mercury.
